For more than 20 years, Gary Toig, MD,
has practiced general medicine, fertility and OBGYN services for women
and families in the greater South Bay area. Dedicated to providing the
highest quality of care, Dr. Toig has earned a reputation with patients
and colleagues alike as a highly skilled and caring physician.
Specializing in fertility, obstetrics and gynecology,
Dr. Toig treats women that want to become pregnant and also guides expectant
mothers through their delivery. He understands the excitement and nervousness
of a first pregnancy and takes care to explain what is occurring and
what will happen during the following nine months. He also counsels
women with high risk pregnancies to ensure that when the time comes
a healthy baby is born.
Dr. Toig is also an Assistant Clinical Professor
at Stanford University Medical Center. He lends his expertise to teaching
new physicians all aspects pregnancy and patient care. He is Board Certified
by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Education and Training
In 1973, Dr. Toig graduated from the University of
Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI with a
Bachelors of Science Degree in Zoology. He graduated Summa Cum Laude.
He completed his medical training at the University of Pittsburgh, School
of Medicine, Pittsburgh, PA, in 1978. Dr. Toig completed a Diversified
Internship in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Pittsburgh
School of Medicine, Magee-Woman’s Hospital, and was a resident
in Obstetrics & Gynecology, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine,
Magee-Woman’s Hospital.
